Backup Your Firefox profile with about:support Command

Backing up browser settings is very essential as you can easily restore the settings or browser profile and in the previous post about Backing up Browser settings with FavBackup where you can backup and also restore any browser settings.

Here in Firefox 3.6, Backing up Firefox can be done by a easy option rather to go up with other utilities. "about:support" is the command you got to type and it shows up all basic information that you use such that extensions, configuration that you've set.

For example, if you've set "network.http.pipelining" type to true or if any changes made to configuration settings, they might get reset to the previous values once you reinstalled firefox and here it shows up all the changes that you've made in about:support command line view in URL bar.

And also while considering about Extensions that plays a vital role for all Firefox users and you can just make backup of all your extensions and preference settings by copying the profile folder that you may find there stating "Open containing folder" and just a copy paste method. your Profile is saved !!!!!

"C:\Documents and Settings\josh\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\jnp36irk.default"

 As you see here this is the path to your firefox profile as it opens.

So if you know the profile folder wither you copy but this option helps you copy in simple steps from firefox..
