A website or blog can be used to convey the information of any categories of which author likes and that alone is not enough but rather the layout of the website is must because that is the one that makes the blog more attractive and helps the users to navigate to the posts of their like.

A website or blog’s layout can be designed by programming languages such as XML,PHP,CSS and so on if one knows how to use with them.Also templates are of easy use and can make the layout easy if designed already.where user doesn’t need to make any changes rather he can just add the preferred gadgets placed in appropriate section.

In Blogger templates,It has many gadgets section and just what you got to do is Click Edit in gadget can just edit the sample code and you can see the preview of what changes you’ve made.Also while in the cases of adding a new page element just Click Add a gadget there you see a lot of gadgets that can be added.

Also design your website or blog by adding slideshows or pictures that can make your blog lively and some real time polls and questions can be done and implemented easily using blog templates.

Also design your blog by choosing the color for different layout of blog such as Header,Body and Footer from Fonts and Colors section and optimize for better and clear view.Also design your own logo for header of the blog and just add to your template,For this no need of any inbuilt coding jut upload a picture and the rest done by the template.

[How to]Change extension for multiple files at a time (Simple DOS trick)

Here this is a cool stuff which i tried and quite interesting and can be done simple using DOS format.

[For Ex]This can be helpful especially if you have movie file parts say some 7 parts of zip files or .SVN file. You got to change these file extension to .rar format so as to extract into a single file.

Also change any formats to any formats for multiple files since this takes just a second rather changing extension for all files take a huge amount of time.

Follow these tricks:

Just keep all the movie files or zip files in a separate folder Say C:\mines

Now move to DOS command prompt by Start>Run>Cmd

Go to folder where you have those zip or movie files using “cd pathname” Ex cd mines

Also you can check the contents to verify that you are in the destined folder using DIR command that displays all the contents of zip or movie files

After that Type or Copy this command “rename *.* *.rar” [ without QUOTES ] into DOS prompt. Check the above Screen-shot.

Replace rar with any extensions say .txt, .mov, .avi …..Just to view the change

Check out the destined folder..it replaces all the files to the format you mentioned in DOS prmpt..[Here .rar ]

Google goes in for Digitizing books

As Google has got it's online mass storage of books and getting digitized for better online revolution.Google now aims in Europe for digitization of books but rather gets tougher to get in since Europe is trying to create it's own version of digitized books known as Europeana.

Since it starts to digitize from previous year it starts stepping into Europe and has got it work with University of California a year ago.

It has already started to scan most of the books from Library of Congress and Universities as stated here.. Oxford, Harvard and Stanford universities, the University of Michigan, and the New York Public Library.

While it goes like this,It plans to digitize nearly 2 to 4 million books out of 10 million which would be more easier to access a lot of books than ever.

The goal of Google Book Search is to make all offline books searchable in Google. This means physically scanning hundreds of millions of pages bound between the covers of an estimated 18 million books, recognizing around 430 languages and all sorts of fonts, making the results available for text searches, and replicating the traditional library browsing experience when it's all done.

Check the location of the website's server

There are some ways where you can check the Location of website's server and this can be useful in case you need to check even your own website's location or it's domain, ISP..etc

Domain Resolver:

This is one of the freeware utility where website's location can be viewed even it displays the City name for certain websites using their IP address.

Also check for a particular URL by clicking "Add Entries" or Bulk of URL's by importing a text file of more URL's using "Load List".

Firefox Add-on used to check for the site location just embed it in your browser and here u go..when ever you visit a website it shows the location of the website's server by the country flag it right end of the browser's navigation bar..

Just Move your Cursor to view the location details and Right Click for other extra information on website details.

It uses relatively little resources, and works by accessing an IP address location database contained within the extension rather than relying on top-level-domain roots like ".com" or ".uk". Clicking the icon loads Geotool, which provides a map of the location as well as more detailed information such as the ISP, city, and local time.

There are many alert service been offered for Gmail users such as CNN-IBN, VOIP service and now I'm gonna post about Job alerts been offered from Naukri to all Google mail users as Real time alerts.

Using Gtalk open APIs, Naukri.com developed a tool that enables all Gtalk users to search for jobs on Naukri through Google chat.

All you need to do is add "jobs@chat.naukri.com" to your contacts and that's it.

It's easier if you are a Gmail user you can find and register for jobs in naukri using this.

Though the prime intent behind this tool was simplifying the online job-search experience for jobseekers, as a by-product and also work if it's been blocked by your network admin.

Easy File joining without software

As you gotta to join a file with .001 ,002 formats or some other format you may use software's like HJSPlit or FFSJ...

Here is how to join a image file without any s/w..

Just follow these steps..

1. Gather the file you wish to bind, and the image file, and place them in a folder. I will be using C:\New Folder

-The image will hereby be referred to in all examples as josh.jpg

-The file will hereby be referred to in all examples as New Text Document.txt

2. Add the file/files you will be injecting into the image into a WinRar .rar or .zip. From here on this will be referred to as (secret.rar)

3. Open command prompt by going to Start > Run > cmd

4. In Command Prompt, navigate to the folder where your two files are by typing

cd location [ex: cd C:\New Folder]

5. Type [copy /b josh.jpg + secret.rar josh.jpg] (remove the brackets)

Congrats, as far as anyone viewing is concerned, this file looks like a JPEG, acts like a JPEG, and is a JPEG, yet it now contains your file.

In order to view/extract your file, there are two options that you can take

a) Change the file extension from ser.jpg to ser.rar, then open and your file is there

b) Leave the file extension as is, right click, open with WinRar and your file is there

Recovering data from Scratched CD’s

Here’s an easy home remedy, which might give you the desired results. Rub a small amount of toothpaste on the scratch and polish the CD with a soft cloth and any petroleum-based polishing solution (like clear shoe polish). Squirt a drop of Brasso and wipe it with a clean cloth.

Softwares to recover data:

There are many softwares available on the net, which enable the recovery of the CD data. BadCopy Pro is one such software, which can be used to recover destroyed data and files from a range of media.

Just a few clicks is all it requires to recover the disc from almost all kind of damage situation; be it corrupted, lost data, unreadable or defective.

DiskDoctors is another popular company, which offers both software and solutions to recover data from a scratched CDs and DVDs

General Tips:

* Always wipe the CD from the center outward with straight spoke-like strokes. Wiping CDs in circles will create more scratches.

* Do not scratch the graphics layer as you cannot repair the disc.

HINT: Hold the disc up to a light with the graphics layer facing the light source. If you can see light through the scratches at any point then the disc may be irreparable and or exhibit loading or playing errors.

* Clean your Disc players lens regularly with a suitable product to ensure optimal viewing pleasure.

* Make sure to use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean both sides of the disc. Wipe in a straight line from the centre of the disc to the outer edge.

* If wiping with a cloth does not remove a fingerprint or smudge, use a specialized DVD disc polishing spray to clean the disc.

Lock Your PC on Mouse Click

Instead of pressing windows + L to lock your machine you can create an icon to lock your machine. There are very simple steps by using it you can simply lock your computer

using single mouse click.

Follow these steps ==>>

1. Right click

an empty spot on the desktop, point to New and click Shortcut.

2. In the Create Shortcut dialog box, type the following in the 'Type the location' of the item text box:

rundll32 user32.dll,LockWorkStation

3. Click Next

4. In "Type a name for this shortcut", type "" (any name as u wish) and Click Finish

5. This will Create a shortcut in your Desktop.

6.Now each time when you want to lock the computer , Just click on this shortcut.

Know the Exact time of your System startup and shutdown

Here is an amazing trick to know when your system is started and shutdown..or Who used your system when you're away...

Solution to Enable RegistryEditor

Open Notepad pad, copy paste the following text to the note pad..

REGEDIT4 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersio n\Policies\System] "DisableRegistryTools"=dword:00000000

Save the text file as any name u with extension .reg

example:- "enable.reg"

After that double click to run the file.
