Trivial File Transport Protocol - TFTP

TFTP is a file transport protocol and its name suggests it's something close to the FTP protocol (File Transfer Protocol)

TFTP isn't very popular because it's not really used on the Internet because of its limitations which we'll explore next.

The Protocol

TFTP's main difference from FTP is the transport protocol it uses and the lack of any authentication mechanism. Where FTP uses the robust TCP protocol to establish connections and complete the file transfers, TFTP uses the UDP protocol which is unsecure and has no error checking built in to it (unless they have implemented some type of error checking in the program you are using to transfer files), this also explains why you are more likely to find TFTP in a LAN, rather than a WAN (Wide Area Network) or on the Internet.

Coding errors that helped Hackers and Intruders

There has been some 25 software coding errors that helped the Cyber criminals helped them to have access the site and accounts to nearly 1.5 million security breaches.

The SANS Institute in Maryland said that in 2008, just two of the errors led to more than 1.5m web site security breaches.

The organizations, which helped making the list, include the US National Security Agency, the Department of Homeland Security, Microsoft, and Symantec published the document.

"The top 25 list gives developers a minimum set of coding errors that must be eradicated before software is used by customers," the BBC quoted Chris Wysopal, chief technology officer with Veracode.

SANS director, Mason Brown said: "There appears to be broad agreement on the programming errors. Now it is time to fix them. We need to make sure every programmer knows how to write code that is free of the top 25 errors."

While, most of the earlier advice focused on vulnerabilities that could have originated from programming errors, the 25 list examines the actual programming errors themselves.
The 25 Most Dangerous Programming Errors are:

CWE-116:Improper Encoding or Escaping of Output
CWE-89:Failure to Preserve SQL Query Structure
CWE-20:Improper Input Validation

Bypass Megaupload limitations

Method 1:

For Firefox Users:

  •         Install the Greasemonkey extension for your firefox browser and then restart your browser – Link
  •         Download the Megaupload Cookie Injection Script .
Opera Users
  • Download the Megaupload Cookie Injection Script as same above.
  • Make a directory somewhere for script so Opera can load it as userjs and move that file into the newly created directory (for example C:\OperaUserJS)
  •  Now go to Tools -> Preferences -> Advanced Tab -> Content -> Javascript Options   and then adjust the Opera userjs directory accordingly as shown at below image for an example and done.

Now you can bypass the megaupload slot limitation for your country, you need to use a megaupload proxy if you use this.

But as a side note, if you’re using UserJS and / or greasemonkey script i’d suggest you to take a look into the script source first because if you’re installing a script from some unknown source you’ll be in trouble later.

Winter Mute is the one who created this Script thereby that enables to download as much as you can and thereby enjoy using this...

    Method 2:

There's another tutorial among others to trick MegaUpload..

    For Firefox:
    •     * First go to http://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/59/
    •     * Click Install Now to install addon.
    •     * Restart FF. Tool–>User Agent Switcher–>Options–>Options
    •     * Click User Agents–>Add
    Type this:

    + Description: MEGAUPLOAD
+ User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; Alexa Toolbar)

Click OK twice to finish adding User Agent.

From now, before downloading any file from MegaUpload, just go
    Tools–>User Agent Switcher–>Megaupload

For Internet Explorer,Avant and other browsers..
    Start>>Run>>Regedit>>OK

    In Registry Editor window:
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Mcft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Internet Settings\5.0\User Agent\Post Platform]

Right click Post Platform>>New>>String Value>>Type “Alexa Toolbar”

    Restart PC. Done!

Note: For IE 7.0 the “Post Platform” will located at:
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Mcft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\User Agent\Post Platform]

    Method 3:
Changing internet settings (it should work 4 firefox and IE) here is how

    • Find a mu link that u wanna download

    • You should see something like this on youre mu link (?d=xxxxxxxx)
Copy the random/letters (where the xxxxxxxx are)

     www.megaupload.net/download/xxxxxxxx

remember x=random letters/numbers if done right you should b at mu downloading the file u wanted as free user with no d/l limits (don’t know how long this will work b4 they find out)

Watch videos directly from Firefox3 cache

    It's just simply amazing..

You gotta type about:cache in Firefox location bar

u will see Disk cache device under that Cache directory u will see a url where the firefox cache is located and just copy that url and paste in explorer location bar.

    D:\Documents and Settings\students\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\sbfvuw5n.default\Cache
