Google App Engine – Must for Web application developers

Google App Engine is a Ideal place for all developers to develop and Run their own web application on Google’s Infrastructure.

Usually if one needs to run a web application, he/she can execute from their own work station or servers and execute to view the results.But this doesn’t need any servers to execute. Just upload your own application and serve your users.

Also integrate the application with your own domain name,But this can be done using another Google technology known as Google Apps.

Application Serving:

This can be done in 2 ways as follows

With your Own domain name using Google Apps.

Using freename on the appdomain as shown in screenshot.

 

Google App Engine can be used to create up to 10 applications. Also Application can be create using Appcfg Tool, SDK that contains a App Engine called Appcfg used to execute code in real time either using Python or Java Runtime appcfg. 

The main advantage in using App Engine is it’s cost and resource free up to certain limit you use such as 500MB storage available and for more resource can be purchased.

Also many AppEngine SDK and plugin available for Java SDK for efficient Code usage.
